A mixed-media artist and filmmaker located somewhere between New York City and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (although existing primarily within virtual spaces), Caiden Riordan has always had a passion for the translation of the psychological to the visual, as well as recognizing how visual culture itself often serves as a form of collective unconscious accessible on levels of both the individual and the community. In his work, Caiden reckons with these concepts by constructing visions of his own psychology, taking the form of written essays, dramatized situations put to film, and montages of images synthesized via material taken from large-scale commercial media and his own personal archive.
